Dehradun (DIPR)-Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh held a follow up meeting on the Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) signed during the ‘Investors Summit’ at secretariat on Wednesday. The monitoring and follow up cell of the industry department is in touch with the investors and following up. He instructed that each department should follow up the MOUs concerned with their departments. He said that investor related activity should be visible on the ground within three months. He also instructed the Dietict Magistrate that they should monitor the MOUs signed at their level and encourage investment.
Principal Secretary Industry Manisha Panwar informed that during the ‘Investors Summit’ 602 investors signed MoUs worth Rs. 1,24,000 crore. A follow up cell in the industry department has been set up. The cell has directly contacted 402 investors uptill now and a strategy to implement the MoUs on the ground has been formulated. All the concerned departments have nominated nodal officers. Besides giving information to investors online, they are being contacted on telephones. A review meeting on follow up action under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary will be held every Tuesday. Additional Chief Secretary Om Prakash, Radha Raturi, Secretary IT, Urban Development R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Transport Shailesh Bagoli and other officers were present in the meeting.
