CM Rawat express grief at Damta road mishap


Dehradun (DIPR)-Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed his grief on the bus accident at Damta in Uttarkashi district on Sunday. He prayed for the peace of the departed souls,  grant of patience to the bereaved families to bear their loss and early recovery of those injured.

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat instructed to provide immediate medical treatment to those injured and air lifting of those seriously injured by helicopter to Dehradun for specialized treatment. On his instructions, the seriously injured were airlifted by helicopter to Dehradun. The Chief Minister also sought details of the accident from Disaster Management Secretary Amit Negi and District Magistrate, Uttarakashi and instructed that the family members of those killed and injured be immediately paid ex-gratia relief amount. The Chief Minister also ordered a magisterial probe into the bus accident.

Six seriously injured persons in the bus accident were admitted to AIIMS, Rishikesh and

Jollygrant hospital after being airlifted by helicopter while eight other injured were being brought to Dehradun by ambulances. As per reports, 14 passengers had died in the road mishap, rescue operations are underway.
