CM Rawat thank people for successful conduct of International Yoga Day programme


Dehradun 21 June, 2018-Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has thanked the people of the state and all the participants, concerned departments and organizations for the successful conduct of public demonstration of yoga on the occasion of International Yoga Day in which Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi was himself present at FRI campus here today.

He said that the programme has highlighted Dehradun and Uttarakhand at the international level. He further said that there was lot of enthusiasm  about the yoga programme and people not only reached FRI campus as per the expectations but also did yoga throughout the state and even in their homes. The Chief Minister said that the discipline and dedication shown by people in the yoga programme was praiseworthy. He said that an important message of peace and conciliation went from ‘Devbhoomi’ to the entire world through yoga, today.

Chief Minister thanked the Union Ayush ministry, State Ayush department, information, police, PWD, health, district administration and all other related departmental officials and employees. He also thanked the officials of the FRI for the support. The Chief Minister hoped that in future also we have to work with enthusiasm and solidarity to take Uttarakhand towards zenith of progress as per the aspirations of the people.
