Dehradun 05 July, 2018 –In pursuance of orders of honorable High court, Mussoorie- Dehradun Development Authority, Municipal Corporation, Dehradun and district administration today undertook the exercise of identification of illegal encroachments and illegal constructions on footpaths, lanes and roads in Dehradun city.
Additional Chief Secretary Om Prakash informed that on Thursday under the anti-encroachment drive, 246 illegal encroachments were identified. A total of 1889 illegal encroachments have been identified till date. The work to identify illegal encroachments will be taken up speedily.
Additional Chief Secretary Om Prakash instructed the Task Force formed to remove illegal encroachments that they should keep a vigil on the areas where illegal encroachments have been removed that there is no further encroachments till the work on road widening starts. He said that the marking of the pillars erected at the places where encroachments have been removed should also be speeded up.
Ashish Srivastava, Chief of Task Force to remove encroachments who is also vice-president of Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority said that the process of identification of illegal buildings will also be speeded up.
