Dehradun 24 August, 2018(Info.Bureau)- The Chief Executive Officer of Uttarakhand Livestock Development Board Dr. M.S.Nayal has informed that the inauguration of the training programme of first batch of women self-employment artificial insemination worker will be done by State Animal Husbandry Minister at Shrest Wedding Point, Mothorowala, Dehradun on August 28 (Tuesday), 2018 at 11 am. The animal rearers of hills will get the facility of artificial insemination through the training. This will also be a unique example of women empowerment.
He said that the 120 days training of first batch of artificial insemination is being conducted with the help of Integrated Livelihood Support Project for women trainees for the first time. A total of 26 women from different districts of the state namely Tehri, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Pithoragarh and Almora are participating in the training. The trainees after their training will act as self-employed artificial insemination workers in the development blocks selected by Integrated Livelihood Support Project in their respective districts. This will not only strengthen the hill economy but also provide opportunity of self-employment to educated women to become self-sufficient and empowered.
