Dehradun city will be completely free from encroachment: Additional CS


Dehradun 15 September, 2018(DIPR)-In pursuance of orders of honorable courts, the exercise of demolition, identification of illegal encroachments and illegal constructions on footpaths, lanes, roads and other places and sealing of illegal encroachments in Dehradun city by Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority, Municipal Corporation, Dehradun and district administration has been going on.

Additional Chief Secretary Om Prakash on Saturday said that the exercise to remove the encroachments in Dehradun city is in progress. He instructed the anti-encroachment Task Force to ensure that the action of removal of encroachment was also ensured in the streets of the city after the main roads. He said that Dehradun city will be completely free from encroachment. Om Prakash instructed Task Force officials that during the removal of encroachment, the proceedings should be done according to the rules, while listening to the those people whose buildings are being demolished.

Om Prakash has said that if a person feels that marks of encroachment on his buildings have not been made according to the rules, then such people can register their complaint on the basis of facts in the judicial committee of the task force. He said that such complaints will be examined by the judicial committee.

Om Prakashan said that at places in the city, where the encroachment removal process has been completed by the task force, the work of re-survey by Task Force will also be conducted at those places. Om Prakash said that some people are complaining that encroachers are again indulging into re-encroached and are erasing the marks of identification.

Om Prakashan said that the task force will also conduct re-survey at such places on the basis of the complaints of people. If it comes to light that encroachment is back, then such encroachments will be removed at the same time and those who have erased the identification marks, action will be taken against them by the task force as per rules.

Secretary MDDA P.C. Dumka said that today, about 90 percent of illegal encroachments have been removed from Premnagar by teams of all four zones of anti-encroachment Task Force on Saturday and the work to remove the remaining encroachments is in progress.
