New Delhi: 101 individuals with murder charges, 284 people booked in dacoity and robbery cases, and 92 accused in sexual assault and other offences against women and children were part of the violence that was triggered during the Parliament March last Monday. Police verified 2,873 people seen on CCTV engaged in attacking cops and vandalising vehicles of whom 989 were found to have serious criminal antecedents in heinous offences. The list also includes 135 accused in snatching cases, 229 booked under the Arms Act, 67 under the NDPS Act and 19 in kidnapping cases. Police said many of those identified were habitual offenders. Of the 101 accused in murder cases, 42 had been booked in two or more criminal cases, while 12 had criminal histories spanning at least 10 cases. Similarly, 155 of the 284 accused in dacoity and robbery cases had multiple criminal cases against them, including 31 who had been booked in 10 or more cases.
